Privacy policy
How we handle personal information.
Version 1 · July 2026 · Brokerfront Pty Ltd
Who we are
Brokerfront Pty Ltd (“Brokerfront”, “we”, “us”) provides technology to licensed Australian credit businesses. We are not a lender and do not provide credit assistance. This policy explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Two roles, two responsibilities
We handle personal information in two distinct capacities, and different responsibilities follow from each.
- Our own website and accounts. When you browse brokerfront.com.au, enquire, or hold a Brokerfront account, we collect and hold that information for our own purposes and are responsible for it under this policy.
- The platform we operate for brokerages.Loan files, fact-find conversations, documents and client records created on a brokerage’s Brokerfront tenancy are collected by that brokerage under its own privacy policy and credit licence. We process that information on the brokerage’s instructions and do not use it for our own purposes.
What we collect on our own behalf
- Contact details you provide when you enquire or talk to us, such as name, email and firm.
- Account details when you sign up, including sign-in identifiers and security settings.
- Billing details for paid plans, processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage information about how our website and studio are used, collected first-party to understand acquisition and improve the product.
How platform information is protected
- Platform compute, database and file storage run in Sydney, Australia.
- Records are kept on an append-only trail; regulated records are retained for seven years to support brokerages’ legal obligations.
- Each brokerage’s tenancy is isolated. A complete export of a tenancy’s data is available to that brokerage at any time.
- Deleting a tenancy is a deliberate, two-person process, and is itself recorded.
- AI features process conversation and document content to prepare loan files. Model access is controlled, screened and logged, and AI output is treated as proposed until a licensed person reviews it.
Disclosure
We disclose personal information only to service providers that help us run the platform — hosting, email delivery, payments and AI model providers — under contractual controls, and where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information. Where a service provider processes information outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Access, correction and complaints
You may ask us for access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by writing to us. We will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au). For information held on a brokerage’s tenancy, your request should go to that brokerage; we will assist it to respond.
